We are currently accepting new patients of all ages.

Atco Family Dentistry is welcoming new patients of all ages. Please call our office or click the contact below and we will contact you to arrange an appointment. If you would like to be seen as soon as possible for an emergency or urgent visit, please let us know. We make every effort to see patients as soon as possible to help alleviate any problems. You can also schedule an appointment for a regular “cleaning” visit, or a consultation if you would like to come in and meet us.

We participate with several dental insurance plans. Generally speaking, dental insurance is not like health insurance. Dental insurance is sometimes refered to as dental benefits, rather than insurance because of the differences. Dental insurance plans have a yearly maximum that they will pay “up to”. Plans usually also have“tiered” reimbursement levels, where a percentage is paid toward certain procedures, up to your yearly maximum.  Most often yearly maximum amounts are $1500.00. They can range from less than $1000.00 to $2500.00. Typically most plans pay 100% for x-rays and cleanings, 80% towards fillings, root canals, oral surgery (tooth extractions) and periodontics (gum treatments). Usually 50% is paid towards crowns, bridges, and dentures. Most plans also have a yearly deductible, typically $50.00, that has to be paid once a year. We are happy to help you understand your individual policy, but you may have to contact your employer with plan specific questions. Certain procedures are not covered, or may have limited coverage, such as dental implants.

Contact us for a list of insurance plans we currently participate with. Most plans allow for what is called “out of network coverage”. This means you may still be able to have treatment at our office, and your insurance may pay toward it. In some cases your co-pay may be higher, but we can help determine that as well.

We do not participate with Medicaid, or any plans that are known as DMO’s, or Dental Maintenance Organizations. These plans are usually associated with having to select a provider when you sign up for the plan. We do not participate with Medicare, as that is Medical coverage, and the limited dental coverage associated with it is not in the scope of our practice. If you routinely take pre-medication before your dental visits, please let us know.

You can also fill out our new patient forms prior to your appointment. We are also happy to mail them to you, or you can fill them out at our office.
